Meet Our Range of Foundations for All Skin Types

And find out which foundation works best for your skin

Choosing the right foundation can sometimes feel as overwhelming as hunting down a rare butterfly species in the Amazon jungle. If you buy the wrong shade of lipstick, you can just wipe it clean and apply another colour. It’s never quite that simple with your foundation though because it can determine your entire look, as well as how your skin feels throughout the day. That’s why it’s crucial to pick the product that works best for you.

To help you, we created this little guide to our mineral foundations that gives you an overview of everything you need to know – the key differences, what skin types each fits best, coverage, desired effect, and more. Before we continue, keep in mind that you can always order one of our compact testers first and see how the product works on your skin, before buying a regular size version. Now, let’s dive in.

Loose powder foundations

Our loose powder mineral foundation is a classic, indispensable tool in your make-up bag. With its help you can glam on the go without looking or even feeling that you are wearing any make-up (as long as you don’t go over the top, of course). Thanks to excellent pigmentation and buildable coverage, the result is always flawless.

Preservatives, parabens, fragrances, and all other synthetic goo is simply banned from our recipes. Thanks to their natural ingredients, our loose mineral powders are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, making them the best friend to your sensitive skin.

Pros
If you have oily or combination skin, loose powder foundations are the ideal choice for you. Their absorbing properties wick away the excess oil off the skin, which also makes them less likely to clog your pores or cause breakouts. Their light-reflecting pigments and lightweight formula maintain the natural look of your skin without making it appear too powdery or heavy.

Cons
Loose powder foundations are not the best choice for very heavy make-up; and, they may not be as effective in concealing significant blemishes or imperfections, unlike our 2-in-1 foundations.

Coverage and finish
For light-to-medium coverage, you can take your pick from multiple varieties that match different skin shades and undertones. With loose powder foundations, you can easily achieve a breathable semi-matte or matte finish.

Longevity
Loose foundations generally have a shorter wear time on the skin than liquid variants. Especially with oilier skin or a sweaty day, a touch-up during the day could possibly be nice.

Application

Using a large, fluffy brush (like our Kabuki brush) dab lightly onto the desired areas and blend or buff for a smooth finish. Mineral foundations are buildable, so you can layer the powder to achieve your desired coverage. Apply it evenly, focusing on areas of the skin that produce excessive oil, as the loose powders are very pleasant on oilier skin.

Liquid foundations

Due to their lightweight texture, mineral liquid foundations blend into your skin effortlessly creating a seamless base. Best of all, they offer your skin extra hydration that you cannot find in powder foundations. All pigments are coated with an amino acid, which gives you a long-lasting, waterproof coverage with a smooth finish.

Add to this the anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing properties, and you have a foundation that is as natural as your own skin. And, as with all our products, we have taken out of the equation parabens, silicones, mineral oils, and synthetic fragrances, among other chemical nonsense. Enriched with raw, natural ingredients known for their homeopathic and antioxidant properties, our liquid foundations make your face look silky and bright without being too oily.

Pros
What sets the liquid foundations apart from our other varieties, are their hydrating properties, which make them the perfect choice for people with dry skin (or combination skin types prone to dry zones or dry spells).

Cons

If your skin is oily, you might want to opt for a powder option instead, whether it be our loose powder or 2-in-1 pressed foundations, or use one of our powders for special needs, such as the Rice Primer Shine Solution or Rice Veil intense matte/Oil control powder.

Coverage and finish
These buildable foundations can be layered up with the help of your fingers, a blender sponge or a brush to achieve the desired level of coverage, ranging from sheer to medium and full coverage. Their natural, skin-like finish can appear dewy or satin, giving your skin a healthy glow and a radiant finish that does not appear cakey.

Longevity
Sometimes you need make-up that can go that extra mile for you. Whether you’re prepping for a strenuous business trip or an all-night wedding, our long-lasting liquid foundations can withstand all activities without significant touch-ups. Thanks to their waterproof formula you also get extended durability in all kinds of weather conditions.

Application
The liquid foundation can be applied with a brush, sponge, or even with your fingers. The formula allows for easy blending and can be spread evenly across the face.

2 in 1 Compacte poeder foundation

The 2-in-1 formula means that our pressed powder foundations can be used as a concealer as well as a foundation that can easily smooth your skin tone and hide flaws. This is your magic wand for covering blemishes, red spots, and pigmentation, as well as for minimizing the appearance of fine lines and pores. Best of all, thanks to the natural, mineral ingredients you can achieve all of the above without irritating your skin.

Pros
Our 2-in-1 foundations are suitable for all skin types, especially those requiring higher coverage. Thanks to their compressed powder, you can easily take the product with you for easy touch-ups on the go if needed.

Cons
Pressed powder foundations can potentially accentuate lines and wrinkles. With our natural formulation, this is not an issue in most cases, but possibly a liquid or loose powder variant is a better alternative.

Coverage and finish
Our pressed powder foundation can provide different levels of coverage, from light to medium. Our compact foundations have great coverage so that you are often done with 1 layer. The current composition gives the skin a matt finish.

Longevity
The compact foundations are long lasting and generally stay nicely on the skin all day. For oilier skin, or on sweaty days, you can possibly give a little touch-up if needed.

Application

To apply a pressed powder foundation, you can use our kabuki brush. Apply evenly, focusing on areas of the skin that produce excessive oil.
